Substitutes player ratings

Nate Jaqua- 5
Came on in the 61st minute for Maura Rosales. Had one good pass out to the left to Zakuani. Other than that, he wasn’t incredibly involved. You can tell he has a bit of a hard time finding the game in his limited minutes. Coming into this year I thought he would find more playing time with Kufo retiring, but some early injury problems and the emergence of O’Brian white has made it difficult for him to get on the field. I’d like to see a little bit more from him, even if he is only getting limited minutes.

Servando Carrasco- 5.5
Came on in 81st minute for O’Brian White. For the most part, he showed well in his limited minutes. Had a good look at goal. I like the fact that he took a good controlled strike at goal, and just put the ball wide left. Many other rookie players coming on in the closing minutes of the game would have just blasted that ball in the direction of the goal and hoped for the best. Seeing a rookie with good composure on the ball is nice to see. Unfortunately, a few minutes later he undid some of this composure with a nasty tackle on Nyarko. I don’t think there was any malicious intent behind it, but you have to be careful with those tackles in MLS, or you will be seeing red. Rating would be higher if it weren’t for that tackle.
